Both of my girls were fortunate to have the opportunity to travel to Paraguay with the Girls Soccer Worldwide nonprofit organization.

My oldest, went on their first trip in 2016 and my youngest traveled with their 2018 ambassadors. I have to admit I was apprehensive at first to send Hannah, my oldest, away to a foreign country especially not knowing much about the organization at the time but that all changed after her return in 2016.

I  saw a change in both of my daughters after their return. Both of my girls come back with their own experiences which allowed them to open their eyes to a whole different way of living. They saw poverty, discrimination and discouragement among the girls but with that, they saw inspiration to make change.

Both girls continue to volunteer for this organization that they feel so passionate about. Just between the two trips that they each went on there was such amazing progress not only in the schools but in equality for girls. I’m so honored to have my girls be part of this organization. What they have gained from these experiences is something that could never be taught by me.”
