It is about taking her out of a state of survival so the sports, education, and leadership opportunities can make the intended impact. This can look different for each Ambassador. From building a bathroom and home to gain proper shelter and safety, keeping food on her table, or paying medical expenses that can impact her ability to continue school and stay healthy.
When the physiological needs are met, we can work together to build on the life skills needed needed to lead, herself and others, to a stronger future.

Approx. 45% of youth are at risk
of malnutrition or hunger in Paraguay.
When FAMILIES are faced with the STRUGGLES of POVERTY and need to decide whether to put food on their table or send their child to school....they will choose food. The idea of their children receiving a proper education is often set aside in order to provide what is needed at home.
Due to the level of poverty in the rural areas of Paraguay, many children don't complete school past 6th grade. In many families, girls are chosen FIRST to stay home. Education is replaced with labor and HOPES & DREAMS are lost with it.
WITHOUT FOOD, EDUCATION SUFFERS

This also impacts her entire family. For those in school, the ability to focus and study drastically lowers when kids are hungry, don't have a safe space to sleep, or have the privacy to take care of themselves properly and privately.
Food kits deliveries are a part of our promise. We ensure our Ambassadors have food in their bellies and with their help, we also work closely with our partnered schools to deliver food kits to families in need.
