Girls Soccer Worldwide™ is a 501c3 and a preventative program providing girls with the necessary tools before they are faced with decision making rather than only reacting to the consequences of a decision already made.
The SHORT-TERM goals in our Grassroots Program are to help young girls believe in their voice and gain the confidence, courage, and
character that can be lost at a young, adolescent age. Our LONG-TERM goal are to see girls encouraged to believe
in the possibility of their dreams, want to continue on a path of long-term education, and develop
into a stronger version of their future selves.
We strive to develop leaders for today and what is
relevant for them now, while planting the seeds for tomorrow.
Our #1 goal is to have FUN so every workshop is created with that in mind! Right now more than ever, our girls need to be active and engaged in positive conversation and that is what we have set out to do in our 4 week workshop. Each activity will be hands-on and centered about empowering messages.
Each workshop consists of 30 minute soccer workshop + 30 minute leadership workshops that focus on one social & emotional skill each week. This topics vary from good decision making, building healthy relationships, self-awareness, self-management, and social awareness. We focus on developing leaders for today and what is relevant now, while planting the seeds for tomorrow.
Wear your sneakers, bring water and a soccer ball. If you don't have your own ball, don't worry we have one for you to use!
Yes. Girls Soccer Worldwide™ follows the Alameda County COVID guidelines and has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19. This includes but is not limited to: 6ft social distancing, masks worn during check in, accessible hand sanitizer, and temperature taken for each attendee at the start of each workshop.
Please know we take every precaution to ensure there is minimal 6ft social distancing in place at all times, however, due to the
nature of the facilities and an active program with children, social distancing of 6 feet per
person is not always possible. Girls Soccer Worldwide™ may revise its procedures at any time based on
updated recommended guidance and recommendations issued by public health agencies.
Masks are required to be worn during check-in and will be allowed to remove once your child has been placed in her personal space. Each participant will have their own 6x6 space for the entire workshop and all activities are planned around this expectation.
During physical activity it is important your child has proper access to air and is allowed within the Alameda County guidelines when proper social distancing implemented. If your child would like to wear her mask during the entire workshop that is definitely welcome.
Since our first Ambassador led trip to Paraguay in 2016, Girls Soccer Worldwide™ has been centered around girls empowering girls and it remains the same today.
All workshops are co-developed and co-facilitated by our Ambassador for Change leaders, girls age 14-18 and live in surrounding cities and supervised by our Co-Founders, Pamela Jacobsen and Walter Pratte.
Our Ambassadors work hard to ensure your child has the best experience possible and take pride in knowing how important it is we ALL come together in developing our future leaders.

In 2016, Girls Soccer Worldwide set out to create opportunities for girls internationally to have access to an equal playing field, which doesn't exist in most areas outside of the US. Since then we have become a voice for the hidden voice in many communities, young girls.

FORWARD THINKING: Studies show with the proper resources, women
have the power to become an agent of change creating impact where it matters most. Women
thrive and invest back in their own communities empowering other women around them to do
the same. When women are given opportunities to gain confidence, courage, and character an entire community rises up with it.
Imagine a
world where girls were given the tools succeed at a much younger age, change starts today. That is what we have set out to do...one girl at a time!
This is a crucial time in the brain development and social/emotional learning for girls specifically. Our goals are centered around providing girls with life skills during this time of great influence.
“A girl’s relationships, intimacies, sports activities, art and musical activities, as well as academic learning during the ten-to-twelve period have a great likelihood of sticking or at least reappearing later in her life as an adult because of their interconnection with the massive brain growth." -Micheal Gurin- The Wonder of Girls
