Maylen is a strong, dependable leader. Goal-oriented and focused, she endeavors to make an impact in people’s lives. She thrives in competitive environments and situations, always the first to take charge and lead those around her!

Since kindergarten, Maylen has been learning Spanish and is now bilingual. This gift allows her to communicate with a diverse group of people, gives her opportunities to connect with others, and affords her the ability to see things from different points of view. This openness and empathy go hand-in-hand with her value of hard work. She knows that growth can only be achieved through opening up to a new environment or new people outside of your comfort zone.

Maylen is passionate about soccer. She has been playing for Pleasanton Rage for 11 years and is currently the captain of the 2007 ECNL team. Soccer is a place where she can be herself, forget about a rough day, and give back to her community. When she isn’t focused on academics or soccer, Maylen loves to hang out with her friends. These people mean the most to her and allow her to be the most genuine version of herself!

Girls Soccer Worldwide has given Maylen a place to grow and pursue her goals. Ever the warm and driven leader, she hopes to use what she has learned to help young girls find their voices and purpose in life.
