Penelope is dedicated to inspiring others through her authenticity and her open mind. Penelope has grown to become a natural leader since childhood. Being the oldest of 4 siblings, she picked up skills such as patience, delegation, and conflict resolution, without yet realizing how important these would be in her future. 

Throughout Penelope’s life, she has assumed many leadership roles, from team captain to class president and ASB Secretary. Her involvement in school leadership amplified her abilities to work with others, plan effective fundraisers and events, and cultivate a positive environment both within her leadership class and school-wide. While these were excellent learning experiences, they also challenged her to use her voice and advocate for what she believes in. 

Growing up as an athlete, Penelope participated in almost every sport in town. Soccer, basketball, volleyball, softball, and most recently, flag football, have taught her that what she values in sports is not winning so much as the community and joy that they bring us. For this reason, Penelope was drawn to the GSW program. She has also been very involved in both community and school theater productions, which have greatly impacted her public speaking skills. 

Although this is only her first year as a Girls Soccer Worldwide Ambassador, she has already been able to make an impact locally in the Grassroots sessions and internationally by travelling with the team to help serve rural communities in Paraguay. She is excited to continue her journey as an ambassador and hopes to positively impact every person she meets, both inside and outside of this program.
